Gulf Coast provides communities  with HVAC Service & repair. As a Service Technician you will provide maintenance, diagnostic and repair of all types and makes of HVAC systems. Home types include single and multifamily as well as mobile homes.

Gulf Coast also provides energy saving solutions to homeowners. Working with homeowners, we diagnose areas of excessive energy loss in relation to the HVAC system and provides repair solutions. Using specialized tools we also resolve Comfort and Air Quality issues that plague homes, preventing homeowners from enjoying their space.

 

HVAC Weatherization  Technician

Entry Level - Pay starting at $12.00 hr for 90 days or until pass training course. After an initial trial period an increase to $14-15 can be determined.

Experienced duct technicians looking for a change?

Starting pay $18 - 20 hourly, based on skill.

Duties and responsibilities

Employee will

  • Maintain activity logs, financial transaction logs, and other records of work performed.
  • Be reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfill obligations.
  • Maintain stocked truck and inventory and fuel logs.
  • Provide own tools including duct repair tools and headlamps.
  • Communicate with office by phone, text, and email.

Perform diagnostic

  • Talk with homeowners to understand comfort problems.
  • Test and diagnose airflow systems using blower door equipment.
  • Visually inspect HVAC system to identify required weatherization measures, including repair work, modification, or replacement.
  • Draw diagram detailing required repairs and explain repair recommendations to homeowners.

Perform Recommended Repairs

  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures.
  • Repair, refurbish, or replace duct work and or plenums following diagram.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Dispose of debris and rubbish from repair.
  • Communicate repairs to supervisor.

 

Service Technician

Pay is to be determined upon experience and trial period.

  • Record all required data and report to the customer

  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Dispose of debris and rubbish from repair.
  • Communicate repairs to supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Licensed insurable driver, pass drug and background screening.
  • 1-2 yrs HVAC experience

Working conditions and Physical requirements

All jobs are in extreme environments. Potential candidate must be fit to crawl or maneuver through tight attic spaces. Potential candidate must be able to withstand extreme attic temperatures. Potential candidate must perform job within estimated time while in extreme environments. Lightweight tennis shoes (no construction boots), lightweight jeans/shorts, khakis, shirts provided by employer.
